Ocean Suites : Serenity at its best

Solitude, a word that sounds lonely and isolated, shutting yourself off with the rest of the humans. But some people who are pretty occupied with work, stress and anything that consumes them  find ways to revive themselves, anything to get themselves back. Isolate themselves from the world, it is true that solitude matters; for some people, it's the air they breathe. I don't believe unhappy people often isolate themselves; there are some people who find simple happiness alone with nature.

I was home for the weekend. I had to admit that being at home is always a relief for me : no phone calls associated with work that could ruin your day, my mind is free from always thinking of ways to improve managing the operation and the people, no paperwork to work on, no meetings to attend to.  Just pure bliss at home, enjoying my family whom I miss the most and playing with my adorable  baby nephew.

She appeared smaller from the outside but looks can be deceiving, so I've heard.

One fine Sunday afternoon, I decided to isolate myself from people, er, not literally people per se, but I wanted to be with nature for a few hours  -- with a cup of coffee, of course. Ocean Suites was my destination that day.

Relaxing, isn't it?

Ocean Suites is located at Tagbilaran East Road, just across Bool Elementary School and beside the famous Sandugo  Blood Compact Site. The weather was just fine. What I love most  about my hometown is the weather, a bit cooler compared with Cebu. That day I was in the mood for a cold coffee.

Inside Ocean Cafe and the Sandugo Blood Compact Site

I was greeted by a friendly staff when I entered the Ocean Cafe. They are serving a lot of food to choose from, too bad I was just here for a cold latte. Maybe I'd try their sumptuous food with my family on my next visit. I treated myself with a cold coffee, seated myself at the far edge of the cafe overlooking the sea. Boy, what a marvelous sight!

This, my friends, was my view; wouldn't trade this for anything else.

The view before me was breathtaking. The way the cool sea breeze touching your skin, the way the trees dancing in tune with your little happiness, my heart was still for a moment. I was a bit surprised at how they managed to maximize the space. Way back during my school days, this area beside the Blood Compact Site was just nothing but a bare cliff. My mind was doing a little rewind when I saw this overlooking Panglao Island. I salute the people who made this, who would've thought what a bare cliff could transform into.

So you'd think I wouldn't check the other area?  Nah, I'm too curious for that. I went downstairs to check the pool. The huge mirror across the stairs was just too tempting to take a selfie. I can only count the people around. The staff said usually people flock there later in the afternoon, where the everyone can witness the beautiful setting sun. I can only imagine.

I can only imagine how the sunset would look like here

The view was way better near the infinity pool. When I got there, a bunch of gentlemen were having a photo shoot for a wedding, well, I can tell because of the wedding dress  displayed against the view. It came to my senses that this is indeed a cool place to shoot for your wedding day. The pool was quite inviting, with summer coming in, this is the perfect place to cool off.

Pretty modern, isn't it?
Though the hotel appeared small from the outside, you will be amazed by the modern design and how the space was maximized. I love how they play with the interior design, the furniture, everything. It felt like I was in Maldives or something. They have four different accommodations (based on March 2014 rate) ;

(a) Superior Rooms           - Php 2,500 per night,good for two (18sq.m)
(b) Deluxe Ocean Suites    - Php 3,500 per night, good for four (33 sq.m)
(c) Premiere Ocean Suites - Php 4,500 per night, good for four (40 sq.m)
(d) Family Ocean Suites     - Php 5,000 per night, good for six (47 sq.m)

All includes free airport/seaport transfers, free breakfast for two, private mini bar, cable TV, large LCD TV and of course, free wifi (no one can't live without internet, right?). This is perfect, isn't it?  Ocean Suites is also accessible to some famous tourism spots in Bohol like Baclayon Church, dolphin-watching in Pamilacan Island and about an hour away from Panglao Island.

Pure bliss at Ocean Suites

Consuming my cold latte while admiring the beautiful view before me, I was once again captivated by how beautiful life is. That serenity you've been looking for stands right here, only if you just let go of all the stress and mess your life had become. Let Ocean Suites help to look for that inner peace.
