Embrace The Life You Were Meant To Live

Nothing in life is permanent. Change is inevitable and all she has to do is to accept it. In all her futile attempts to resist change, nothing can ever change the fact that impermanence can ruin her plans. She started to get frustrated. She resorted to do things she hadn’t thought of doing herself. She started to cultivate bitterness in her heart. Everything that surrounds her loses sparkle and everything loses its meaning. But she took her time. Time has a funny way of letting in order. Maybe because time is teaching her to be patient.

But she’s ready. 

She is embracing the new life that was made for her. With the whirlwind of change that is consuming her, she lists down the things she learned from the experience.

She learns to acknowledge change.

Change is something she thought could never affect some aspects in her life. She only thought change happens for good reasons that she knew of. But there are also changes that allows her to suffer first before acquiring better results. These changes caught her off guard but she’s learning to embrace it.

She knows what responsibilities mean.

In the past, she has an option not to accept responsibilities or take only half of what is expected. But as people grow older, so are the responsibilities that is waiting to be handled. Responsibilities are results of her actions and decisions in life. Life has directed her to become a parent, something other people are praying for. She has an opportunity to fulfill her purpose in life. Something other people cannot be able to do.

Learn from the experience.

Her journey is unique. Less downhill and more struggles on the uphill. But the journey has taught her to go on, pushing all her limit until she knew she has more to give. She becomes wiser. She becomes calm. She becomes patient. She knew her faith will lead her to higher grounds. Because she accepts change.

Learn to reduce expectations.

She expects a lot in the past. She expects more. When her expectations failed her, it broke her. It poisoned her. Now she learned that too much expectations can bring nothing but disappointments and distress. She can’t live a life like that. Looking forward, she lets life do all the work. Whatever will be, will be. And so be it.

The journey has taught her to be stronger.

Being strong is not only in the state of mind but somehow experiences has built her to become one. As she accept change and learn to deal with it, it teaches her to keep moving and withstand all the crumbling episodes of her being. Even if she was afraid, faith has fueled her solid self to embrace whatever hardships she will face.

Let go.

Inner peace is hard to achieve. It takes a lot of effort to have one. Inner peace is a by-product of embracing and accepting change with a lot of positivism. Letting go of “what ifs” and “could have beens” makes a heart lighter and a soul at peace. Letting go is something she mastered hard. Embracing the new life with the one she love makes it easier for her to let go. And it’s teaching her heart to forgive. Forgiving makes her feel light. Being able to forgive makes her a different person. A person she never thought she will be.

Ocean has taught her to be a different person. 

Ocean transformed her into something she could not explain. Circumstances molded her into something out of ordinary. People and situations made her strong and learn that nothing is permanent in the world. Life has directed her to a journey that is full of suffering yet she knows she will not suffer forever. Life will reward her with an everlasting joy. 

And life is teaching her to be ready.
