Salagdoong Beach in Maria, Siquijor is good for
thrill-seekers and daredevils. A
cliff-jumping site located at one of the cliffs were manned by the local police
and lifeguards to ensure safety of the tourists. There's also a man-made slide on the other
side of the developed cliff.
The
water is surprisingly clear, you could even see what's underneath.
Dare to jump?
It has a concrete
diving board and tourists can plunge
their way in at 30ft!
Mark not just went down once but three times!
Mark not just went down once but three times!
On the other side of
the cliff has a spot overlooking the Maria bay. I was thankful that day was
scorching hot and the blue skies made a great reflection on the ocean. It was perfect, the scenery was just perfect.
Salagdoong Beach
Resort has rooms to check-in, restaurants and
open cottages for tourists. This
place is ideal for family gatherings and weekend get-away with friends. Or
simply for travelers like us who were curious with Siquijor Island.
Amazing, isn't it?
A man-made forest of
molave trees are developed on the way to Salagdoong Beach.
Molave trees are known to be one of the trees where fireflies harbored
centuries ago (and even today) which gives an eerie glow of fire at night by the Spaniards who
discovered the island. It is best that this must be preserved and maintained
for the future generations.
